Project Location: The Bridge No. BAR-017-0708 is located on Cleveland Massillon Road over Hudson Run approximately 150 feet south of the intersection with South Avenue in the City of Barberton. (Add this missing project information)
Description of Work: This project involves reconstruction of the existing Cleveland-Massillon Road Bridge No. BAR-017-0708 over Hudson Run with similar alignment and profile and minimal approach work. This project also involves application of new pavement markings, new guardrail and traffic control devices. The replacement bridge will be widened by increasing northbound & southbound lane widths to current design standards, adding a new center turning lane, shoulder widening and providing additional 5 feet east side sidewalk all to match the proposed Cleveland-Massillon (31st Street) Roadway improvements administered by the City of Barberton.
Maintenance of Traffic: Traffic will be detoured during reconstruction of the Cleveland-Massillon (31st Street) Road Bridge utilizing local roads approved by the City of Barberton.

Status: Programming Package including LPA Project Scope, Project Location Map, BM-191 and BR-86 forwarded to ODOT on January 9, 2008 and LPA Participation Requirements Review form on April 4, 2008. Field Review Meeting conducted on March 10, 2008. Summit County Engineer Final Development Phase Scope of Services complete with Request for Technical Proposal transmitted to five short listed design consultants on February 6, 2008 and were received on March 7, 2008. The Technical Proposal consultant evaluations were completed on April 9, 2008 and reevaluated in February 2009. Technical Approach & Fee Proposal negotiations complete on August 5, 2009. The Design Consultant was authorized to proceed on October 16, 2009 and re-authorized on December 17, 2009. The Preliminary Engineering was due April 1, 2010 and approved by the SCE on June 9, 2010. The Stage 1 Plans are tentatively due on July 26, 2010.
